I am a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators I visits local schools around the cathedral city of Lichfield, Staffordshire, and surrounding areas. Her experience working with children of all ages and abilities in her career has been invaluable in her role as Children’s Author.

She offers “Meet a Children’s Author,” and introduces her books, the children also have opportunity to ask questions, and Children’s mini Workshops, eg Planning and writing a short story, for schools and children’s activity groups.

Lorraine also visits Creative Writing groups offering inspiring workshops and critiques for other writers offering constructive advice and direction from her experience. Book signings at various venues: Book shops, libraries, schools.

Oxfam Bookfest event on 2nd July 2011 I was asked to support the event as local Children's Author. The most amusing part was the Town Crier turned up and was ringing his bell announcing I was in the Oxfam shop!
